Panda eyes, or dark circles around and beneath your eyes, can cause people to assume that you’re fatigued, worn out or depressed, which could have a negative impact on your social or professional life. There is actually some merit in that conclusion; while some people simply have a predisposition to panda eyes, they are most frequently caused by a lack of sleep, vitamin deficiency, high stress or a poor diet. If you find that the skin around your eyes is dark or puffy, the first thing you should do is examine your lifestyle. Are you getting plenty of sleep? Are you eating right? Are you drinking plenty of water? Are you getting regular exercise? For those of us that get panda eyes due to a lapse in good health habits, it’s important that we pay attention to what our bodies are telling us. Some of us, however, are more sensitive and can see some of the effects of panda eyes even with good health habits and a normal workload. Here are some great ways to help your eyes look brighter and healthier.

Organic moisturizers

Quality organic moisturizers can help to reduce the appearance of panda eyes by moisturizing and nourishing the skin around the eyes. These creams help to hydrate the skin by locking in moisture, as well as providing many of the vitamins necessary for radiant, healthy skin. Organic eye moisturizers are often geared towards specific skin types such as dry or oily, so make sure and find the one that fits your needs.

Organic sunscreen

The skin around your eyes is very sensitive. Exposure to the sun can cause your skin to age prematurely and can add to wrinkling and darkening of the skin that contributes to panda eyes. Using a mild, organic sunscreen can protect the skin around your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays, alleviate darkness of the skin, and contribute to overall healthy, beautiful skin.

Organic eye creams

Many organic eye creams are made just for reducing darkness or puffiness around your eyes. These creams can be incredibly effective when combined with a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet and regular use of moisturizers and sunscreen. Look for organic eye creams that are rich in anti-oxidants and use only the finest, organic ingredients to moisturize, firm and protect the delicate skin around your eyes.

Panda eyes or other signs of general fatigue should remind us to make sure that we’re taking care of our bodies. If you’re already living a healthy lifestyle, organic moisturizers and eye creams can work wonders for dark, tired looking eyes. If, for some reason, panda eyes persist even with a healthy lifestyle and simple, organic products, there are some other alternatives. Eye concealing makeup, home treatments, facial treatments for promoting circulation around the eyes, and even surgery are among your options. Talk to your physician or beautician to find out what’s best for you. It’s important to remember not to fix what isn’t broken, though; nine out of ten times a healthy lifestyle and some simple, organic face creams are all you need for beautiful, healthy looking skin.
